Why is the restaurant called La Cabaña?

The gauchos who tended the cattle and the dedication of the cabañas (specialised cattle ranches) where the best cattle were reared combined to produce the world-class beef that made Argentina famous. This very same tradition is what makes eating at La Cabaña such an experience. 

As if more proof were needed, the Golden Book boasts the signature of every Argentine president since Agustin P. Justo (circa 1935). Charles de Gaulle, Henry Kissinger, the Aga Khan, Richard Nixon, King Juan Carlos, Maurice Chevalier, Joan Crawford, Arturo Toscanini, Walt Disney, Vittorio de Sica and countless others were attracted to La Cabaña’s rustic ambiance, privacy and most famous dish, the “Grand Baby Beef” – a 4-inch wide, 3.3-pound steak like no other in the world.
